The Rethink SEL & Mental Health PLC summer series is now open for registration in Whetstone. The PLC series is offered for all K-12 teachers and support staff. On Wednesday, June 22nd, NWEA will host an optional PD session focused on examining Spring 2022 MAP results for members of School Test Coordination Teams.Session Activity will include:
Model walk through the Student Growth Summary using district data
Reflective questions for participants to analyze data.
Review of data facts, possible explanations, and action steps based on needs, e.g., School improvement planning and professional learning for teachers
The session will be held from 10 -11 am. Connect with your principal regarding participation.
Be certain to complete the Professional Development Hours Form by June 24th. As required by NJDOE, i.e. every teacher completes at least 20 hours of PD per year. The link for the form is here:
The Office of Special Education (OSE) is offering a 3-day “UDL Teacher Residency” for both general education and special education teachers. Teachers will develop a shared understanding of UDL principles and guidelines. Through professional learning on the Six-Step Lesson Planning Cycle, participants will be provided with the knowledge and tools to implement changes to their lesson planning, instructional practices, and overall mindsets that will enhance students. Consider asking your teacher colleagues to join you as a team. Registration is in Whetstone for Aug. 16, 17 & 18.
