Description: Adverse childhood experiences, or ACEs, are potentially traumatic events that occur in childhood (0-17 years). ACEs are linked to chronic health problems, mental illness, and substance use problems in adolescence and adulthood. ACEs can negatively impact education, job opportunities, and earning potential. However, ACEs can be prevented. We invite teachers, nurses, social workers, parents, and other community stakeholders to attend to learn about this valuable topic.

Light refreshments and giveaways for all participants.

Please RSVP to Ms. Acosta, Parent Liaison at aacostaramirez@nps.k12.nj.us or call 973-268-5190 if you plan to attend by February 10, 2023.

This event is sponsored by the Newark Teachers Association (NTA) FAST/Pride Committee of NJEA
